Chudi is the founder of Lampados Financial Group, a fee-only, Texas-registered RIA that serves first-generation STEM and healthcare professionals nationwide.

He came to financial planning the long way around. He’s an engineer by training — a BS from the University of Virginia, master’s degrees from Drexel and George Washington, and an MBA from UVA’s Darden School of Business. He spent his civilian career as an engineer, including work on submarines, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 2002 to 2024, retiring as a Major. Then came a career in finance — and the realization, with a real salary in hand, that he had no idea what to do with it. Nobody had taught him. His parents couldn’t have. The American financial planning industry wasn’t built for the household he came from.

So he built the practice he wishes had existed. He is Series 65 licensed and is pursuing CFP® certification (anticipated November 2026). He works with pharmacists, physicians, engineers, and attorneys from immigrant families — high earners making $100K to $300K who still feel like the money disappears every month. He treats that as a systems problem, not a discipline problem.

Chudi hosts The Financial Engineer Podcast, writes about first-gen wealth building at lampadosfinancial.com, and has been featured in industry conversations on financial planning for underserved professional communities. He lives in Texas with his family.

His core belief: wealth isn’t just about you. It’s about legacy. One family. One system. Generational wealth starts with the first person willing to build it.
